Timetable for Promotion and Tenure 2008/2009 Review Cycle


 

August 20 - Unit leaders submit names and vitae of candidates for early tenure to Kim Evancho.


September 15 -  Unit leaders submit names of your unit P&T committee members and if applicable, a copy of your unit P&T procedures document to Kim Evancho.  Please review the changes to the 2008/2009 Administrative Guidelines for HR-23 and make changes as appropriate to your unit  P&T procedures.  Also, remember that faculty cannot serve on both the unit and the college P&T committees.  Note:  The only revisions this year to AG HR023 were adjustments to the dates in the timetable (Appendix B, pages 32-33) to reflect the 2008-09 review year


September 24 - P&T meeting with Dr. Bowen for dean, associate deans, academic unit leaders, college committee, unit P&T chairs and key administrative staff person to discuss the process and changes for 2008/2009.   1:30 p.m. in room 105 Forestry Building 


December 1 - Unit leaders submit dossiers for promotion and tenure to Kim Evancho.  This includes promotions to associate professor and professor, senior research associate or senior scientist for faculty on standing appointments; sixth year or early tenure recommendations.


February 2 -  Unit leaders submit recommendations on promotions to instructor, senior lecturer, senior instructor, senior research assistant, research associate, senior research associate, assistant professor for faculty on standing appointments and recommendations for July 1 promotions for faculty on fixed-term appointments to Kim Evancho.


April 1 - Unit Leaders submit interim tenure reviews to Kim Evancho.
