Staff Position Evaluation Compensation (SPEC)
All activities related to the University's staff exempt and non exempt job classification program and the technical service classification program are coordinated with the University's Office of Human Resources by staff within Human Resource Services. The purpose of job classification is to evaluate non-academic positions using a point factor system to assign all positions to an appropriate grade and corresponding salary range. A continuous effort is made at the University and College/Administrative Unit levels to create and maintain internal equity and external competitiveness for salaries on all non-academic positions.
